UVA in State Tuition Work Study
Financial aid called Federal Work-Study (FWS), which must be obtained through student employment, is based on financial need.
For qualified students, both on and off campus, there are several employment prospects.
FWS funds should not be taken into account when planning your semester payment schedule or calculating how much you would need to pay in advance because they are not credited to the student account at the beginning of the term.

UVA in State Tuition Loan
Undergraduate students and their parents can apply for a variety of loan programs to help pay for college. Loans fall into two main categories: Need-based and Non-need based
Federal Direct Subsidized, Nursing, and Institutional Loans are all need-based loans. Federal Direct Unsubsidized, Direct Parent PLUS, and private/alternative loans are examples of non-need-based loans.

Private loans from banks or credit unions or other private lending institutions are approved by Student Financial Services. Students enrolled in certificate programs are not eligible for financial help from the university.
UVA in State Tuition Grant
Students attending four-year colleges and universities, community colleges, and career schools can apply for a range of government grants from the U.S. Department of Education.
Based on a student’s financial need, the federal Pell Grant is given out. No repayment is required. Only undergraduate students without a professional degree or a bachelor’s degree are often eligible for federal Pell Grants.
After the verification procedure is complete and the EFC (expected family contribution) has been determined using the FAFSA formula, Pell Grant awards are made.

If a student enrolls in at least twelve credits per semester, they are eligible for a full reward; if they enroll in fewer than twelve credits, they receive a prorated award.
