Xavier University Tuition Scholarship
Test results are not necessary to be considered for a scholarship. Students are encouraged to submit the FAFSA by December 1 in order to ensure their financial need is taken into account when selecting scholarship recipients.
To reward students for their accomplishments, Xavier offers academic scholarships and honors. Any applicant who submits an admissions application will automatically be considered for one of these prizes.
These academic scholarships and awards range in value from $21,000 to $25,000 per year for the fall of 2023. For a total of four years or eight semesters of full-time undergraduate enrollment, these prizes are renewable.
Each year, new first-year students who have demonstrated high academic success and strong leadership commitment in their community and/or school are given the St. Ignatius scholarship.
There is no further application needed, although the scholarship committee may request that finalists complete a quick interview.
Xavier University Tuition Loan
The William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, in which borrowers receive loan monies directly from the U.S. Department of Education, is one in which the University participates.
A FAFSA-filed student who is enrolled at least half-time may be eligible for a long-term, low-interest loan called a Direct Loan.
According to the federal need analysis formula, undergraduate students who can demonstrate need may be eligible for a subsidized Direct Loan.
For the time that the student is enrolled at least half-time, the federal government covers the interest on the subsidized loan.
Unsubsidized Direct Loans may be available to students who don’t meet the requirements for subsidized loans. When the student is enrolled and throughout loan repayment, interest is accrued on the unsubsidized loan.
Xavier University Tuition Employment
Student employment applications may be accepted from FAFSA-submitted students.
There are numerous on-campus employment opportunities that greatly improve the educational experience. Students must have the proper documentation and be eligible to work in the United States.
Students may be offered employment that is paid for by the Xavier University Employment Program or the Federal Work-Study program.
If hired, students will receive biweekly pay and have the option of having their money deposited directly into their bursar account, a savings or checking account, or both.
The authorized amount is not required to be earned by students, and not meeting this requirement will not result in an increase in university need-based awards.
Students have the option to decline employment if they don’t want to take part in school-year employment.
Xavier University Tuition Grant
The federal government, the State of Ohio, a few other states, and Xavier University all offer grants.
Grants are frequently awarded to students based on their financial needs or a certain talent. Like scholarships, grants are a fantastic way to pay for your college education.
Grants are gift aid, thus they don’t require repayment.
Don’t forget to send the Free Application for Federal Student Aid along with your admissions application.
Only undergraduate students who demonstrate extreme financial need and do not already hold a bachelor’s, graduate, or professional degree are typically eligible for the Pell Grant. Students must submit the FAFSA each year in order to apply.
The amount of the Pell Grant fluctuates according to the student’s level of financial need and the number of credits they are taking. The maximum full-time award for the academic year 2022-2023 is $6,895.
Undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need are given the SEOG.
Because Xavier University has limited federal money for SEOG awards, the grant is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) who will also receive a Pell Grant during the award year are given their funds first.
