A financial aid program called Federal Work-Study (FWS) enables students to work on campus or for authorized off-campus community service companies in order to raise money for educational expenditures.

When they submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid, eligible students are given FWS (FAFSA).

Receiving FWS as part of financial aid can make a student eligible for part-time work both on and off campus that they might not otherwise have been able to have.

The FWS program supports work in fields linked to your major of study and in the community. There are numerous FWS roles to pick from, but unlike BSE positions, FWS positions are funded by Student Financial Services.

Belmont University Tuition Scholarship

Scholarships for general academic merit awarded to freshmen range in value from $3,000 to $12,000.

Candidates for these honors who have been accepted as freshmen and have academic records that meet or surpass the requirements for the university’s freshman class are considered competitive.

The average high school grade point average for the freshmen class entering autumn 2023 was 3.75 on a four-point system, with an average ACT composite score of 27 or SAT score of 1240.

The General Academic Merit Scholarship is given to transfer applicants every year during the admissions season, which runs from September through August. It has a range of $2,500 to $5,000.

Merit scholarships will be awarded to approved transfer applicants with only in-progress college coursework or one semester of college credit based on their overall high school GPA.

Accepted transfer students who have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 to 3.49 are eligible for a $2,500 scholarship each year.

Transfer students with an accepted offer and a high school GPA of at least 3.5 are eligible for a $5,000 annual award.

Belmont University’s highest academic achievement scholarships, such as the Archer Presidential Scholar or Faculty Scholar honors, must be completed by December 1 in order for candidates to be considered.

Additionally, those chosen for the named scholarship procedure will already be eligible for the highest general academic merit scholarship award, which is presently worth $12,000.

These named prizes honor the top 2% of all freshmen applicants (more than 10,000 for autumn 2023), who have an average cumulative high school grade point average of 4.5 (on a 4.0 scale), an ACT composite score of 35, or an SAT score of 1530.

Belmont University Tuition Grant

A federal grant for undergraduates is the Pell Grant. The eligibility is decided by the U.S. Department of Education. The accepted benchmark for assessing financial need is the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) Formula.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), an undergraduate federal grant awarded to the most deserving recipients of Federal Pell Grants, is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Belmont University Tuition Loan

Subsidized, Unsubsidized, Parent, and Grad PLUS loans are available through the Direct Loan Program to Belmont students and their parents.

For the purpose of assisting with the expense of a student’s post-high school education, Direct Loans offer low-interest loans to both students and parents.

A bank or other financial institution is not the lender; rather, it is the U.S. Department of Education (the Department).

Undergraduate students with clearly documented financial needs are eligible for subsidized loans, as per federal guidelines. While enrolled at least half-time, throughout the grace period, and throughout the deferment periods, no interest will be charged.

There is a six-month grace period after you graduate, leave school, or discontinue enrolling as at least a half-time student before repayment begins.

An unsubsidized loan‘s interest rate is always levied, regardless of the borrower’s ability to repay the debt. This includes all grace and deferment periods as well as the time a student is enrolled in classes.

Repayment will begin six months after you graduate, leave school, or cease enrollment as at least a half-time student.
