Seattle University Tuition Grants and Scholarship
Grants and scholarships, often known as gift aid, assist students in lowering the number of loans they must take out, the number of hours they must work, and/or the extent to which they and their families must utilize their savings to pay for their education.
We urge students to apply for as much outside gift aid as they can as early as possible, even though Seattle University awards as much gift aid as it can through institutional, federal, state, and private sources.
Seattle University Tuition Student Employment
Students have the chance to work while attending school, including through work-study programs, and earn money to help cover some of their educational expenses while also gaining valuable work experience.
By fusing classroom learning with practical experience, students can advance both their current studies and future careers.
Seattle University offers need- and non-based student job options both on and off campus.
Students must file the FAFSA every year to be considered for need-based programs, which establishes their eligibility for this type of help.
The non-need-based programs merely need that applicant to be interested in working and possess networking abilities so they may speak with potential employers.
Seattle University Tuition Loan
Repayment on Direct Loans starts six months after a student drops below half-time enrollment or leaves school. Direct Loan restrictions differ by academic level (undergraduate and graduate).
The maximum amount of Direct Loans that students may borrow falls within each “class” level.
Only undergraduate students are eligible for Federal Direct Subsidized Stafford Loans, which are based on their financial need and do not collect interest as long as they are enrolled at least half-time (6 credits for undergraduate students).
The maximum amount of Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans that a student may get is their cost of attendance, less any additional financial aid that has been given. After the initial installment, the unsubsidized loan starts to accrue interest.
