The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be filled out as soon as possible by all students who wish to apply for financial aid and scholarships.

Undergraduate students may be eligible for an academic scholarship in appreciation of their achievements.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Alternate Need Form must be submitted by the priority deadline in addition to the student being accepted to UNLV. No additional application procedure is required.

UNLV Tuition Work Study

Students who need help paying for their education can choose from a variety of jobs accessible both on and off campus.

Students who participate in one of three federally sponsored work-study programs can work while attending UNLV.

The majority of employment is found on campus at UNLV and is open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students in need of financial assistance.

UNLV Tuition Loan

In order to be eligible for this loan, students must be enrolled at least half-time. This loan does not require parental co-signatures. Only the student’s name appears on the loan.

Students are not given unsubsidized loans based on their FAFSA-determined financial needs. The unsubsidized loan is the next available choice for a student who does not meet the requirements for a subsidized loan.

You must be enrolled at least half-time to be considered for this loan. Parents do not need to co-sign for this loan, and the loan is in the student’s name only.

UNLV Tuition Grant

Grants are need-based aid that you normally don’t have to pay back.

Undergraduate and graduate students who live in Clark County and will be residing on campus may apply for the UNLV Clark County Housing Grant.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Alternate Need Form must show that the student has a need. Priority is given to first-come, first-served funding.

Is UNLV Free for Residents?
