Less than 3% of first-year students get merit scholarships from Wake Forest’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Most scholarships just require a completed entrance application by November 15 (including the full-cost of attendance Signature Scholarships). Scholarship candidates who must go through thorough interviews or auditions will be contacted by April.
Applicants who think they could be eligible for need-based funding must submit their applications by January 1. Financial need is a selection criterion for most scholarships at Wake Forest.
Since they chose beneficiaries based on information from admission applications, FAFSA applications, and CSS Profile applications, separate applications are unnecessary.
Wake Forest Tuition Grant
Pell Grants help undergraduate students with the greatest financial need. The annual range of grants is $624 to $6,195.
Undergraduate students with the greatest financial need can get help from Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG). The average annual sum is $1,400.

Wake Forest Tuition Loan
For loans released after July 1, 2023, the federal direct loan interest rate for undergraduate students is 4.99%. For loans with the first disbursement happening before October 1, 2023, an origination charge of 1.057% is subtracted.

Wake Forest Tuition Work Study
Federally qualified undergraduate students may work on or off campus and make up to $2,000 annually.
By employer, wages differ. Because earnings are given directly to students on a fortnightly basis as they complete work, offered sums cannot be deducted from semester fees.
The Office of Student Financial Aid keeps and posts a current directory of job openings on campus and in the community for students who are not qualified for Federal Work-Study.
It is encouraged for students to work throughout the summer in order to finance their academic year.
