Wake Forest University is a private research university in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Founded in 1834, the university takes its name from its original location in Wake Forest, north of Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Reynolda campus, the main campus of the university, has been located north of downtown Winston-Salem since the university moved there in 1956.

Applicants will be asked to pay the application fee and include the following items as they pertain to their application. These forms are included in the Undergraduate Admissions Application but may be accessed individually as well.

  • $85 application fee

Application Deadline

In addition to application deadlines, make sure you know all other admission and financial aid deadlines before applying.

If you know that Wake Forest is your first choice, don’t keep it a secret: Early Decision (ED), which offers two windows of opportunity, might be for you. Both ED options are binding, meaning, if admitted, you will have committed to being a Wake Forest student!

  • Early Decision I lets you apply early in the fall (by November 15) and hear back from us on a rolling basis.
  • Early Decision II gives those who missed the ED I deadline a second chance to apply for ED (by January 1). With ED II, you will hear back from us around February 15.

Regular Decision (RD) applications are not binding and have a January 1 deadline, and you will hear back from us around April 1.
