Cornell Tuition Financial Aid

The amount of money many students will pay each year will be reduced if they apply for financial help. Cornell grants, which are unearned free money, play an important role in our financial assistance packages. For first-year students in the Class of 2025, the average Cornell grant amount ranged from $43,250 to $72,800. Loans and work-study funds that students earn throughout the academic year are used to lower the overall cost.

The remaining sum is the entire yearly cost for each household after accounting for Cornell grants, loans, and work-study.

You could also be qualified for federal work-study if you receive financial aid and are a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen with financial need (FWS). The federal government reimburses the company who hired you for a portion of the salary you get. The only thing that sets you apart from pupils who aren’t FWS-eligible is this.

Work-study involves working at real jobs and earning money that you can use to pay for your educational costs rather than being paid to study. Your financial aid package will specify how much they expected you to make as a work-study student.
