UTA Tuition 2023| Cost of Attending the University
For many students, the cost of college is a significant consideration, and UTA tuition is no exception. Understanding the costs and available financial aid options is essential for making informed decisions about higher education.Average Cost
The U.S. Department of Education mandates that each institution that takes part in government financial assistance programs calculate the cost of attendance there for a full academic year (i.e., nine months).
These numbers, which are based on the typical expenses incurred by students attending that particular college, are used to determine eligibility for financial aid programs.
Federal regulations specify the categories that are utilized to determine the cost of attendance.
Undergraduate students should add about $15,286 to the tuition and fees indicated above to get an idea of the typical amount of tuition and fees for students paying full-time non-resident tuition and fees.
The above-mentioned tuition and costs for graduate students paying the full-time non-resident tuition and fee rate should be increased by about $12,442.

UTA Tuition Scholarship
Freshmen and transfer students who enroll at UTA may apply for merit-based scholarships. Only beginning with the start of the upcoming fall semester are merit-based scholarships offered.
Based on the requirements of the academic department, other academic scholarship options are also available.
Incoming freshmen are eligible for the Terry Scholarship program. When compared to other grants and scholarships, the Terry Scholarship pays the full cost of tuition, fees, books, and on-campus living through this program.
A chance to get a second stipend to support studies abroad is also given.
The Texas Leadership Scholars program looks for top performers who have a history of academic achievement, financial need, and community leadership in their high school.
Cohorts of students will have possibilities for undergraduate research and study abroad, engage with peer and professional networks and mentors, take part in distinctive leadership development programs, and more.
In addition to graduate assistantships, UTA offers fellowships. For information on the alternatives available and the prerequisites for each, speak with the graduate advisor for your academic department.
UTA Tuition Grant
Grants are financial aid that typically doesn’t need to be repaid.
The majority of state grant money may not be available to students who submit financial aid applications after the designated priority dates due to a lack of resources.
Please complete a 2023-2024 FAFSA application by February 14, 2023, along with all required supporting documentation, to be considered for the maximum award money for the 2023–2024 aid year.
In order to obtain the most grant money possible, undergraduate students must enroll full-time.
The majority of grants, including the Federal Pell Grant, will be reduced if a student enrolls in less than full-time. For state grant money, graduate students must enroll at least half-time.
Grant money cannot be moved to another semester if a student is not enrolled in the semester for which it has been offered.
UTA Tuition Work Study
The Federal Work-Study program (FWS) is heavily emphasized at the University of Texas at Arlington for the following reasons:
- FWS lessens dependency on student loans by helping students pay for a portion of their educational costs.
- Both graduate and undergraduate students can work part-time in order to gain useful skills that will further their studies and help them when preparing for the workforce.
- Because FWS employers are accommodating with scheduling, students can continue to put their education first.
To be eligible for the Federal Work-Study Program, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate your financial need.
- Students who qualify can work up to 19 hours per week at a work-study job.
- You can only earn up to the amount indicated on your financial aid letter each semester.
- You receive payments for your labor twice a month, directly to your bank account rather than through your student account.
First come, first served is the policy for FWS.
