Tuition and Cost
The cost of tuition is specific to U-M schools and colleges and is determined by a student’s residency status, academic standing, the amount of credits they have registered for, and the term.
For undergraduate students, full-time attendance is deemed to be between 12 and 18 credit hours every semester. Less than 12 credit hours are available with a per-credit-hour fee. If you choose over 18 hours, you must pay for extra credits.
For graduate students, full-time is defined as eight credits each term in order to qualify for financial aid (however, for tuition rate purposes, full-time for graduate students is defined as 9 credit hours per term).
