NC State Tuition Scholarship

The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA) and each of NC State University’s ten colleges provide funding for scholarships.

In order to qualify for employer-affiliated scholarships, the applicant’s parent(s) must work for that employer.

NC State Tuition Loan

Before you take out a loan for education, think about your projected yearly income in the future because they must return student loans.

Direct Subsidized Loans: Financial necessity determines who is eligible for a subsidised loan. Subsidized loans do not accrue interest until the borrower makes payments. Once the borrower is no longer enrolled at least half-time, repayment will start.

Federal Direct PLUS loans are available to parents of undergraduate students who are dependents. 30 days after they have fully disbursed the loan, repayment will start.

Borrowers of PLUS loans must pass a credit check. The dependent student may be qualified for an additional unsubsidized student loan if a parent’s request for a PLUS loan is rejected because of the borrower’s credit history.

NC State Tuition Grant

The federal government, the state of North Carolina, and NC State institutional funds are just a few of the sources from which NC State University receives grant money.

For grants, students don’t have to submit separate applications. Based on the details in their completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid, they are automatically taken into consideration (FAFSA).

Federal Pell Grant: Awarded to students who show a high level of financial need as determined by a need-analysis model developed by Congress to assess a family’s capacity to cover educational costs.

Students with severe financial need may apply for the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Award (SEOG), with Federal Pell grant applicants receiving precedence.
