The state of Washington restricts all registered students to 516 hours of on-campus work over the course of six consecutive months. The maximum number of hours that non-student temporary workers may work in a 12-month period is 1,050.

WSU Tuition Grant

One of the most generous financial aid programs in the nation is the Washington College Grant (WCG).

Working-age people and recent high school graduates from a variety of low- and middle-income families may be eligible to receive financial aid for college or job training.

WCG is open to eligible Washington citizens, including students who may not have legal status. There is no upper age limit. Recipients must fulfill the prerequisites of the program and enroll either full- or part-time in an allowed college or program.

Amounts vary according to family size, income, and the cost of the program or school. The full reward would be given to a deserving student from a family of four with an annual income of $64,500 or less.

For a family with three children and one parent earning $28 per hour, for instance, public college tuition would probably be free. Grant amounts are less for families with middle-class incomes.

But even someone from a family of four making up to $107,000 annually can receive some funding to aid in covering the cost of training or going to college.

Any approved/eligible in-state public institution or university, including community or technical colleges, will get the maximum WCG award amount, which will pay for all tuition.
