1. Get your FSA ID

Create an account at studentaid.gov to get your Federal Student Aid ID. This is required to finish step 2.

2. File the FAFSA

Apply for financial assistance via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form after October 1st, but at least 60 days before your projected start date.

3. Examine your SAR.
