Rider University Tuition Loan

The William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program allows individuals to borrow Federal Stafford loans directly from the federal government.

If they are specified in your financial aid award letter, then you are only eligible for this federal loan.

This is determined by the information you provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Subsidized Stafford loans are provided to undergraduate students who can demonstrate that they have a need for money based on information from the FAFSA. The government pays the interest while the student is enrolled.

Unsubsidized Stafford Loans are only available to students who did not even meet the standards of the subsidized loan.

The distinction is that instead of receiving government assistance, the interest will accrue while you are still in school. When the money is released to Rider University, the interest on the loan will start to accumulate.

Rider University Tuition Scholarship

An individual student (a scholar) receives financial assistance from a scholarship in order to further their study.

The primary factor used to choose the recipients of merit-based scholarships is the student’s prior academic achievement.

The scholarship will be renewed if the student continues to fulfill the minimal requirements to keep it. Grants are awarded with no requirement for repayment.

When a student is admitted to Rider University and meets the criteria for a scholarship, they automatically receive the award; no separate scholarship application is required. Award amounts are flexible.

Rider University Tuition Grant

Federal grant eligibility is determined by the FAFSA. You will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) verifying your eligibility. It will be necessary to verify and update all of the data. Please abide by the instructions given in Part I of your SAR’s text.

The award letter contains an estimation of eligibility. Call (800) 4-FED-AID to find out the status of your application if you haven’t received your SAR within four weeks of submitting your FAFSA.

To assist people in paying for college at New Jersey schools, the state of New Jersey offers the Tuition Assistance Grant (TAG), a need-based grant. It is ineligible for use at out-of-state universities.

The New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) will receive your financial information, process it, and decide if you qualify for TAG if you submit the FAFSA and list New Jersey as your place of legal residence.

If a New Jersey university is not identified as your first option in the FAFSA’s step six, the State of New Jersey will not receive your information.

Some states permit students to bring state funding to colleges outside of their home state. Vermont, Rhode Island, Maryland, and the District of Columbia are some of these. To find out how to file, if necessary, speak with your guidance counselor.
