The ability to bank hours for the summer may be available to students who have paid the flat fee and enrolled in fewer than 15 hours per semester.

The cost is based on the current 15-credit hour tuition and hourly required fees at OU. Graduate/law/advanced program students and they do not include some costs in the flat rate. The prices listed below are for the academic year 2023-2023.

Almost all forms of financial aid, including federal, state, and institutional funding, can be applied for through the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).

OU Tuition Work Study

Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a need-based program that enables qualified students to make money while attending school by working part-time. Based on their unmet needs as identified by their annual FAFSA, they give students FWS.

Students that take part in the program receive biweekly salaries, with the maximum reward amount per school year is $5,000 ($2,500 per semester).

Earnings are determined by the hourly wage that the employer and the student agree upon. Although wages are taxable, they are not taken into account when calculating your financial need on the annual FAFSA.

OU Tuition Loan

The purpose of the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program is to encourage people to work full-time in public service positions and to keep doing so.

Under this program, borrowers who have made 120 qualifying payments on their federal Direct Loans while working full time for specific public-sector companies, such as the University of Oklahoma, may be eligible to have the outstanding balance of those loans forgiven.
