Starting in the fall of 2023, the cost of attending the University of California (UC) for each entering undergraduate class will stay the same for up to six years after the student graduates.

This program, known as the UC Tuition Stability Plan, offers families a level of predictability never seen in managing their college expenses.

UCLA Out-of-State Tuition Financial Aid

Fill out the DREAM Act Application or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before doing anything else.

Apply before the March 2 UCLA priority deadline. Every year on October 1, these applications go on sale, giving qualified students access to both federal and state financial aid programs.

UCLA Out-of-State Tuition Scholarship

UCLA Out-of-State Tuition Grant

We know financial aid that does not require repayment as a grant. The federal, state, and UCLA are just a few of the sources. Most require submitting a financial aid application by March 2 and are given out depending on need.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the California Dream Act Application (for students without legal status) open on October 1 for the CLA grant. Priority deadline for financial help in California is March 2.

The application deadline for students attending California Community Colleges is March 2 and the application deadline is September 2.

Each member school’s financial aid office oversees the FSEOG program individually. Not every school takes part. Find out if your institution offers the FSEOG by contacting the financial aid office.

UCLA Out-of-State Tuition Loan

The average student loan debt of U.S. graduating seniors in 2023 was over $29,200. However, the average among UCLA seniors was substantially lower — just over $22,390. And almost all UCLA graduates—98% of them—manage loan payments effectively.
