Michigan State Tuition Financial Aid
Many families find it difficult to cover all the costs of school with their present income or savings. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filled out online as soon as possible after October 1 of the year before you plan to enroll if you need financial aid.

A government program called work-study pays companies back for half of what students make. Students who show extreme financial need and submit an FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are eligible.

A 1.057% origination fee is required for any Federal Direct Loans distributed on or after October 1, 2023, and they must pay it at the time of distribution. As a result, your student account will get 98.943% of the total loan amount.
Unsecured loan While you are a student, interest accrues on an unsubsidized loan. In order to prevent “paying interest on interest,” you may decide to pay interest while attending school (capitalizing interest).
