Florida Atlantic University Tuition Grant
Financial help is provided in the form of grants when it is necessary. If grants are a part of your financial aid package, FAU will automatically accept the Pell Grant.
If grants are included in your package of financial help, FAU will immediately accept the Pell Grant.
Students enrolled at least half-time in their undergraduate or graduate studies at FAU who can prove their financial need are eligible to apply for FAU Awards. Financial aid is distributed based on priority due to a lack of money.
First-time baccalaureate students who are enrolled at least half-time and who can prove that they have an exceptional need for financial aid are eligible for the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Program (FSEOG).
Financial aid offers are issued in accordance with the priority consideration deadline due to limited funding.

Florida Atlantic University Tuition Scholarship
The purpose of scholarships is to encourage, reward, and assist individuals who wish to excel academically and assume leadership roles.
The selection process for scholarships takes into account applicants’ academic standing, positions of leadership, extracurricular activities, work experience, and financial necessity. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid determines financial need (FAFSA).
The FAU FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS selection process takes into account academic success, leadership roles, campus or community activities, employment experience, and financial necessity.
Furthermore, some scholarships are awarded based on need or other criteria, like as major, class rank, being a first-generation student, city of residence, or financial necessity.
Florida Atlantic University Tuition Loan
Loans are financial aid that must be repaid. FAU advises students to only take out loans that are necessary to pay for their academic year’s expenses.
Undergraduate and graduate students who attend at least half-time are eligible for federal direct loans. Undergraduate students who can prove they have a need for money can apply for subsidized Federal Direct Loans.
In-school interest on Subsidized Direct Loans is not the responsibility of the student. Students who do not qualify for subsidized Federal Direct Loans or who do qualify but still require additional financing can apply for unsubsidized Federal Direct Loans.
Students are responsible for paying the interest on their unsubsidized Direct Loans that accrues while they are enrolled in school.
The annual Direct Loan borrowing limitations for dependent undergraduate students are $7,500 for undergraduate students above sophomore standing and $5,500 for freshmen.
Above the aforementioned limits, independent undergraduate students may borrow extra unsubsidized loans (an additional amount depends on academic standing).
Graduate students are eligible to borrow up to $20,500 in Unsubsidized Direct Loans annually. Six months after the student graduates, drops below half-time enrollment, or withdraws, the principal and interest are due.
Florida Atlantic University Tuition Work Study
A need-based federally sponsored part-time job program called Federal Work-Study (FWS) enables qualified students to make money to assist with their educational costs.
