When pursuing college classes while on active duty, the Army Tuition Assistance program (TA) covers all costs, including tuition.

Eligibility

After completing Advanced Individual Training, soldiers must serve for a full year before they are eligible for TA (AIT).

If any part of a soldier’s undergraduate degree was funded by TA, they must have 10 years of service in order to obtain graduate-level TA.

Requests for teaching assistants (TA) must be made and approved without exception prior to the start of the class. If a successful course completion is not achieved, the service member will be asked to pay back.

Officers who utilize TA are subject to a two-year Active Duty Service Obligation and a four-year Reserve Duty Service Obligation. They are determined based on the final day of the last course for which the TA was employed.

Any credits obtained after earning a baccalaureate degree must be taken within the allotted 39 semester hours.

Alternative Education Finance Sources

Army Tuition Assistance may not be enough to pay for college education which will lead to other sources of funding.

The availability of additional financial sources is a blessing. You may apply for government student aid, such as Pell Grants and student loans, as an illustration.

Investigate additional financial aid options such as grants, scholarships, and other funding sources.

The Army Tuition Aid program is a great resource for assisting active-duty soldiers with financing their education. It has several advantages, like helping you save money on tuition, developing your profession, and getting ready for adult life.

Be careful to utilize this program if you match the eligibility requirements. And if you require more money, think about looking into other financial help options.
