SNV Ghana is currently recruiting for the position of International Project Manager – GrEEN. SNV is a not-for-profit international development organization with a strong presence in Ghana since 1992.

This recruitment is part of SNV’s ongoing efforts to make a lasting impact on the lives of people living in poverty by creating sustainable and climate-resilient local economies in Ghana.

International Project Manager – GrEEN Position Summary

The International Project Manager will lead and manage the planning and implementation of all components of the GrEEN Project in Accra, Ghana.

The role involves adhering to SNV standards, project management approaches, and donor regulations to achieve high-quality results and deliverables.

Key responsibilities include project planning, team management, contract management, budget oversight, HR management, and more.

Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree in Agricultural Value Chains, Development Finance, Energy, SME, or Sustainable Development, or a related field.

2. Specific expertise in relevant areas like business management, entrepreneurship, SME management, circular economy, green economy, and sustainability is an advantage.

3. Minimum of ten (10) years of project management experience, including consortium projects.

4. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the youth employment sector, youth and women entrepreneurship, Energy, and SME development.

5. Experience managing complex programs and a team of over 10 full-time employees in 2 regions.

6. Recent experience in project management funded by the European Union is advantageous.

7. You should also have international work experience and the ability to lead a multicultural team effectively.

Key Competencies

1. Demonstrated project management expertise and knowledge of the full Project Cycle.

2. Ability to interpret project information and analyze implementation issues.

3. Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

4. Strong planning, analysis, and prioritization skills.

5. Proficiency in financial management related to project management.

6. Effective time management and organizational skills.

7. Tact and diplomacy in contact with third parties.

8. Knowledge of standard office software and communication tools.

9. Fluency in English with strong writing skills.

10. Willingness to travel to all project locations within Ghana.
