UNT Tuition Financial Aid
There are many ways to pay for your college education through UNT. These things are necessary for the forms of aid stated below:
- Be a citizen of the United States or an eligible noncitizen;
- Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid every year by the designated priority deadlines;
- Uphold the standards for Satisfactory Academic Progress; and
- Enroll at least half-time in an approved program at the university.
UNT Tuition Scholarship
One type of aid that assists students in paying for college is scholarships. They can couple scholarships with other forms of financial aid to pay the whole cost of attendance, unlike student loans which must be repaid.
Each year, UNT offers hundreds of scholarships to students of all academic backgrounds and test scores.
They give scholarships to students based on a variety of criteria, such as athletic prowess or artistic flair, besides academic performance.
There are scholarships available for students with a particular academic interest, extracurricular accomplishments, membership in particular organizations, or financial need.

UNT Tuition Grant
Grants are available to undergraduate students with extraordinary financial need through the federal Pell Grant program. For the award year of 2023–2023, the maximum federal Pell grant is $6895.
The FSEOG program awards undergraduate students with extraordinary financial need-based grants up to $1,000.
The Federal TEACH they give Grant to undergraduate students who agree to serve as qualified teachers for four years for the grant, which can be worth up to $4,000.
Undergraduate and graduate students who meet the requirements can apply for a need-based award. These funds are prorated for enrollment that is less than full-time and require at least half-time attendance.
They capped grant funding levels at four years for freshmen who started at UNT and two years for transfer students.
UNT Tuition Work Study
Students can work part time in designated jobs under the College Work-Study program to help cover school costs. On your Free Application for Federal Student Aid, specify that you would desire to take part in college work study (FAFSA).
UNT Tuition Loan
They offer undergraduate students who qualify and can show financial need federal direct subsidized loans up to $5,500 to aid with the expense of higher education.
Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans are loans provided to qualified undergraduate and graduate students (up to $12,500 and $20,500, respectively), but qualification is not based on financial need.
Parent PLUS Loans are loans provided to the parents of undergraduate dependent students to help cover educational costs not covered by other forms of financial aid.
Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loans are loans provided to qualified graduate students to help meet educational costs that are not covered by other forms of financial aid.
You can get extra help with your educational fees through private education loans.
