UNCW Tuition 2023| Estimated Cost of Attending this University
Discover the cost of shaping your future at UNCW: an investment in higher education that could pay off for a lifetime. Let’s delve into the costs of UNCW Tuition and explore the opportunities offered by this university.Estimated Cost of Attendance
Every institution or university calculates an estimate of the cost of attendance. A student’s estimated cost of attendance (COA) is intended to help with their academic year’s educational expenses (Fall & Spring terms).
Direct and indirect expenditures are both included in the expected cost of attendance (budget). Charges a student makes directly to the university, like tuition and fees, are referred to as direct costs.
The expenses a student will probably incur but not directly pay the university are referred to as indirect costs. An illustration of an indirect cost is transportation.
The cost of attendance for each student is determined by residency and full-time enrolment. The cost of attendance will be adjusted to reflect fewer than full-time enrolment after each semester’s drop and add period.
Exceptions: In addition to the regular graduate tuition shown below, several professional graduate schools charge different graduate tuition rates.
Additionally, the cost of OAP/Distance Education programs might vary based on whether or not they are offered on the main campus. Visit the Student Accounts page to find out the precise tuition and fee amounts.
The estimated transportation cost listed below is not included in the cost of attendance if the OAP/DE program has no extension sites.
The cost of attendance is an estimate of the costs associated with attending classes throughout the enrollment term rather than a final bill. Please visit the Student Account website for information on the cost of tuition and fees per credit hour.

UNCW Tuition Financial Aid
Any type of funding that can help you cover the expense of your college education is known as financial aid. It doesn’t have to be stressful to apply for financial aid.
Applying for financial aid through the FAFSA by the set priority deadlines of January 1 (fall), October 1 (spring), and April 1 will ensure that your application is given top priority for restricted need-based federal, state, and institutional assistance (summer).
When we have the FAFSA and other necessary documents results, we will let you know about your financial aid award.

UNCW Tuition Scholarship
The Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid, Academic Departments, the Alumni Association, and other awarding organizations are only a few of the ones involved in the UNCW scholarship process.
Every year on December 1 through March 1 (the priority date), the application is accepted. Mostly for graduate student scholarships, the application will be accessible until June 1.
Access to this scholarship application is only available to recently admitted or enrolled students. The number of scholarships available fluctuates from year to year and includes both merit-based and need-based rewards.
You are eligible to apply for a variety of scholarships by responding to each short response, essay prompt, etc.
Entrant freshmen who are chosen to get a scholarship award will be informed via email by April 1, and have access to view it in SeaNet, and it will be reflected on the financial aid award sent in the mail.
In the first week of July, or thereabouts, graduate students and returning student recipients will be able to view their awards in SeaNet.
Students should submit the FAFSA by January 1st to increase their chances of being considered for need-based scholarships (plus institutional and state awards) (the application opens October 1st).
UNCW Tuition Work Study
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) and Work Assist programs provide students with employment services through the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA) and Career Center.
Graduate and undergraduate students who have submitted a FAFSA and demonstrated financial need are eligible for part-time employment through FWS.
To be eligible to take part in the FWS Program, students must demonstrate financial need. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, is used to establish financial needs (FAFSA).
The FAFSA question about “interest in work-study” must be answered with a “YES” in order to be taken into consideration for FWS.
UNCW Tuition Grant
Families with high needs who meet the requirements as determined by the FAFSA are given federal Pell Grants. Students may get Pell grants for up to six years (12 semesters).
The 600% Pell Lifetime Eligibility Usage is what this is (LEU). A full-time student who receives Pell during the fall and spring semesters is eligible for 100% of Pell.
Year-round For the duration of the academic year, Pell grants students up to 150% of a typical grant award, enabling them to continue their studies over the summer and complete their degrees more quickly than they otherwise would.
You must be working at least half-time to be eligible for the additional 50%, which counts toward the 600% LEU.
You have the opportunity to email us at any time to deny the usage of your YRP because the additional 50% does count toward your Pell LEU.
As you work to realize your educational objectives, we’re dedicated to helping you with your financial needs. If you need more help, don’t be afraid to get in touch with us or stop by.
What GPA do you need to go to UNCW?
Seniors accepted have a middle 50% weighted GPA between 3.80 and 4.43. With few, if any, Cs and no Ds or Fs, the majority of applicants to UNCW have A/B averages.
Although UNCW is highly unlikely to approve a GPA at this level, the UNC System’s minimum GPA is 2.5.
