GPA Requirements for Lehigh University Admissions

Lehigh University expects you to be towards the top of your class and well above average with a GPA of 3.85. Your transcript should be filled with largely A’s.

You should also have taken many AP or IB classes to show that you can handle academics at the college level. If you are a junior or senior, it is difficult to change your GPA in time for college applications.

If your GPA is at or below the school average of 3.85, you’ll need to improve your SAT or ACT score. This will allow you to compete effectively against applicants with greater GPAs than you.

SAT Requirements for Lehigh University Admissions

Lehigh University’s average SAT composite score is 1365 on a 1600 SAT scale. Lehigh University is Moderately Competitive for SAT test scores with this score.

The New SAT 25th percentile score is 1300, and the New SAT 75th percentile score is 1430. A 1300 on the New SAT puts you below average, and a 1430 puts you above average.

ACT Requirements for Lehigh University Admissions

Lehigh University’s average ACT score is 31. With this number, Lehigh University is very competitive for ACT scores.

The ACT score for the 25th percentile is 29, and the ACT score for the 75th percentile is 33.

Even if Lehigh University says there is no minimum ACT requirement, if you apply with a 29 or lower, you will have a very difficult time getting in unless you have something else particularly exceptional in your application. Because there are so many applicants scoring 31 and above, a 29 will appear intellectually inadequate.

Application Deadline

Lehigh’s standard admissions application date is January 1. Interested applicants can apply for early decision, and the deadline for Lehigh early decision is November 1.
