Kean University Tuition Work Study
Students with financial needs can get part-time work under the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program (as determined by the FAFSA).
Their income is meant to assist them to pay for their schooling. Students who receive FWS support are encouraged by the program to take part in volunteer work.
Only students who are eligible for financial help may apply for FWS employment.
Kean University Tuition Grant
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be finished by the deadlines in order for students to be eligible for Federal and State Grant money.
Based on financial need as assessed by the FAFSA, the Federal Pell Grant is given out. Undergraduate students without a bachelor’s or professional degree typically receive Pell Grants.
Over the course of their undergraduate studies, students are only eligible to receive Pell Grants for a maximum of 12 semesters (or the equivalent).
For the 2023–2023 Award Year, Pell Grant awards can total up to $6,895.
Undergraduate students with severe financial needs can apply for the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) program.
The FSEOG will provide priority consideration to Pell Grant grantees with the lowest expected family contributions (EFCs).
Each year, prizes can be worth up to $1,000. For the following academic year, Kean University’s priority deadline for FSEOG consideration is April 15.
Undergraduate students at institutions with financial needs are given tuition aid grants. Recipients (and parents of dependent students) must reside in New Jersey and be enrolled full-time in their first bachelor’s degree program at Kean University.
Up to nine semesters of TAG may be awarded to qualified students.
(Transfer students from EOF and NJ County College may qualify for additional funding.) TAG recipients must submit the future year’s FAFSA by April 15 in order to continue receiving TAG for the current academic year.
Kean University Tuition Loan
Students must first submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the deadlines in order to be considered for federal student and parent loans.
Through the Direct Stafford program, qualified students can borrow money from the federal government without having their credit checked.
To qualify, students must be enrolled at least half-time each semester (6 or more credits for undergraduates; 4.5 credits for grads).
Depending on the student’s financial need and degree of study, Direct Stafford Loans may be given as subsidized, unsubsidized, or both.
Undergraduate students who demonstrate a need for financial assistance are given subsidized Direct Loans. During the student’s enrollment and the grace period, the federal government will pay the interest on the loan.
Unsubsidized Direct Loans are grants given to graduate and undergraduate students that are not based on need. During enrollment and the grace period, the student is in charge of paying any accrued interest.
Kean University Tuition Scholarship
Kean University provides new freshmen with a wide range of merit- and need-based scholarships. Merit scholarships are taken into consideration for first-time and transfer applicants.
Your application for these merit scholarships is included in your whole admissions package to Kean University.
With a primary focus on high school (unweighted) GPA and standardized exams (SAT, ACT), if relevant, these prizes are presented based on a variety of factors, such as courses taken, academic rigor, and class rank, among others.
Only most recently admitted full-time freshmen who have completed high school are eligible.
If a cumulative 3.0 GPA is maintained via ongoing full-time attendance, these scholarships are renewable for up to four years (8 semesters) of concurrent undergraduate study.
Please be aware that these merit awards cannot be combined. If all federal, state and other awards combined are greater than the cost of tuition, we reserve the right to reduce the scholarship amount.
How much is Kean University Tuition 2023 23?
The undergraduate tuition rate at Kean Online for full-time, in-state, and out-of-state students will be $12,972 in the upcoming academic year.
Starting with the Fall semester, full-time graduate students at Kean Online, both in-state and out-of-state, will pay $18,000 in tuition and fees.
