Is there anything I’m good at? ‘What if I’m not doing what I’m supposed to be doing?’ ‘What if my true calling in life is something completely different?’ Thousands of people all across the world, regardless of their age, are asking themselves similar questions.

Take a break and figure out who you really are, if you’re one of those folks. If you think about it rationally, the longer you put off making a decision, the longer you’ll be locked in a circle of doubt and uncertainty about your life’s direction.

Here is a step-by-step strategy to discovering your genuine talents.

1. Remember all your dreams.
The first step is to recall all of your true dreams, from infancy to school and college, and finally adulthood. Note them.

2. ‘To have’ and ‘To be’
To-have dreams: gaining possession of something you don’t currently possess.

‘To be’ dreams: assuming a new role in your life.
Only work with the “to be” dreams.

3. What triggered your reaction?
Do you recall feeling a thrill of admiration when you saw someone else perform a part in life? Do you wish to replace it was you? If so, note it.

4. What did you like to do?
Take note of any former occupations or pastimes. So, what did you enjoy to do when you were little, and as an adult? What do you like to do now? those are things you should question yourself with.

5. Remove unnecessary items.
Go over your notes. Review your “to be” dreams and discover which ones still fascinate you. Now put yourself in those shoes. What would you be doing right now if you were that character?

Consider how strongly you feel when you imagine yourself in various roles. Rate your reaction on a scale of 1 to 10.

When you realize your true potentials and work on making them come true only then you’ll be truly fulfilled.
