This is to inform the public that The management of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) has opened its admission portal for people wishing to apply at the institution both at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
They have set certain dates and deadlines for admission registration and the closure of the admission portal. We advise aspirants to apply early because of the limited admission slots available at CPUT as late entry would not be permitted.
Cape Peninsula University of Technology CPUT Application Closing Date
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Admission Registration Closing Date 2024 has been scheduled, CPUT Applications will close at the End of September 2024, below are details on the application closing date:
- New and currently returning students (for qualifications with semester modules): 9–26 June 2024
- New students for under-subscribed qualifications in CAES & CSET: 9 June–05 August 2024
- Students awaiting results for semester 1 and additions: 9 June–05 August 2024
Document requirements

- A certified copy of the first page of your Identity Document/Card.
- Proof of your highest level of school education.
- International students must submit a valid study visa and proof of medical insurance for the duration of their studies.
Payment of Fees
Short course fees are payable in full prior to the commencement of the course. Cash payments can be made at the cashier’s Office on campus.
Provide the cashier with your student number (the course administrator had issued that to you) as a reference when making payment. Should you make payment by electronic payment transfer (EFT) proof of such payment has to be submitted to your course administrator.
If your employer is paying your course fee and the such employer is:
- A government department or parastatal
- They must get a letter in which the employer commits to paying the course fee
- An invoice will then be sent to the employer by the course administrator
- A company or other corporate entity
- The employer pays the course fee prior to the course beginning, or the applicant does so.
- In the latter event, the applicant then claims back the course fees paid by his/her employer.
