Fees and Finance

Prospective students and their parents who meet certain criteria can choose from a variety of financial aid options. This section will walk you through these options and show you how easy it is to finance your studies.

The Alternatives
There are three ways to pay for your studies at Varsity College:

  • Pay all fees in advance.
  • Pay a deposit at the start of the year and the balance of the fees over a set period.
  • Pay a set amount of money over a set period (no deposit payable).

Varsity College program fees vary depending on the program for which you have registered. The Schedule of Fees, which is available at any Varsity College campus, details the fees payable for each program.

MONTHS PROGRAMME CASH FEE INTEREST RATE BANK MONTHLY PAYMENT
R60,000.00* 17%
Month 1-12 R850.00
Month 13-24 R1,750.00
Month 25-36 2,550.00
Month 37-96 4,473.46

The R60,000.00 figure is provided for illustrative purposes only and is not specific to any Varsity College program. Interest rates and monthly repayments will vary according to the policies and repayment terms of various lending institutions.

We have not included fee increases for illustration purposes. To qualify for a student loan, you must provide your bank with certain information so that they can determine whether to grant the loan.

The bank will require someone (usually a family member or a guardian) to stand surety for the debt, as well as proof that they have enough income to cover the monthly repayments.
