North-West University (NWU) Application Deadline/Closing date for 2024 is released. The Management of the North-West University (NWU) has released the Application Deadline they expect the application to start on 30 June and close on 30 September 2024.
NWU is also accepting applications from candidates interested in post-first degree law, post-graduate admission, international admission, distance education admission and graduate entry Medical Programmes.

- NWU Admission Registration 2024/2024 is scheduled to close by the following dates stated below:
- Non-selection courses: 31 September 2024
- Music: 31 November 2024–Also apply for an audition before the closing date
- Graphic Design: 31 August 2024
- Engineering: 31 August 2024
- Occupational Hygiene: 31 August 2024
- Urban and Regional Planning: 31 August 2024
- All other selection courses: 30 June 2024
Important Things You Should Have or Note Before Applying
Things to note before applying online to NWU:
- You’ll need an email address to complete the application. Don’t have one? Get an email address first.
- South African applicants will need an ID number. Foreign applicants will need their passport numbers.
- You will need to have registered for the NBTs before applying online.
- You will need to pay an application fee.
- Need accommodation? Make sure you mark this on your application form.
- Remember to check faculty-specific requirements before applying.
- Please note: Postgraduate applicants can only apply online.
How to Apply For NWU
- You must Log onto the registration portal via – https://studies.nwu.ac.za/studies/applyusing your student number and password. If you do not have a password, click on create a password to continue.
- The next step is to Click on registration under the classes block – Then click on my registration (ITS iENABLER). Click on registration on the left, under ‘Student Wed’ to start the registration process.
- The third step is to Work your way through all the processes under registration listed on the left
- You must Read the Exemption and Indemnity Agreement and click on I ACCEPT to continue with your Online Registration. Then verify your personal contact details, address details and contact person details.
- Make sure you Verify NWU’s payment methods under PAYMENT INFORMATION before making a payment. Then Click on PROCESS ONLINE PAYMENT and follow the instructions.
- Click on PAY NOW. Last, you can verify your payments made under VIEW ONLINE TRANSACTION DETAIL.
- After making payment, Read the Academic Registration Rules, Regulations and Statement on Personal Information and click on I ACCEPT to continue with your Registration. Verify your registration information under REGISTRATION VERIFICATION.
- Lastly, Select the module/s you want to register for and click on SAVE AND CONTINUE.
