Austin, Texas, is home to the public research institution known as The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin, UT, or Texas).

Required Application Materials
ALL freshmen applicants must submit the following items.
The Online Application
Either the Common App or the Apply Texas application may be submitted by freshmen applying for the fall of 2023.
Also, use your application to list all of your academic accomplishments, including any college credits you received while still in high school through dual enrollment.
Application Fee
When you submit your application, pay the non-refundable $75 application fee ($90 for overseas applicants).
Your High School Transcript and Class Rank
Work with your high school to arrange for the delivery of your official transcript (s). Also, which will list all the courses you took while a student there, as well as your grade point average.
Also, include a statement from your high school outlining its policies, a copy of your school’s profile, and a GPA or grade distribution report if your high school does not rank pupils.
SAT/ACT Requirement
For the Fall 2023 admissions application, ACT or SAT test scores are unnecessary, but they are strongly advised. If they want their SAT or ACT results considered, applicants must mention this on their online application.

What GPA is Required for UT Austin?
UT Austin expects you to be near the top of your class and much above average with a GPA of 3.83.
However, you’ll need a majority of As, ideally with many AP or IB subjects, to show your college-level readiness. Therefore, it will be difficult to change your GPA moving forward if you are a junior or senior.
