The GPA criterion that counts is the GPA you need to have a legitimate possibility of being admitted.

We consider the school’s current students’ average GPA for this. At Texas A&M, the average GPA is 3.68.

Texas A&M needs you to be above average in your high school class with a GPA of 3.68. A combination of A and B grades is required, preferably with more A grade than B.

Harder coursework, such as AP or IB courses, might make up for a low GPA. This will show that you are academically more capable than the ordinary high school student.

It’s challenging to change your GPA in time for college applications if you’re currently a junior or senior.

You’ll need a better SAT or ACT score to make up for a GPA that is at or below the 3.68 school average. You will be better able to compete with applicants who have GPAs that are higher than yours thanks to this.

Texas A&M SAT Requirements

There is a covert SAT requirement, notwithstanding the claims of many colleges that they have no cutoff for SAT scores. Based on the typical grade at the institution.

Texas A&M’s standard SAT composite score is a 1275 out of a possible 1600. Texas A&M is now competitive for SAT exam scores because to this score.

The New SAT 25th percentile and 75th percentile scores are 1180 and 1390, respectively.

To put it another way, a score of 1180 on the New SAT puts you below average, while a score of 1390 puts you above average.

Texas A&M ACT Requirements

Just like for the SAT, Texas A&M likely doesn’t have a hard ACT cutoff, but if you score too low, your application will get tossed in the trash.

The average ACT score at Texas A&M is 29. This score makes Texas A&M Moderately Competitive for ACT scores.

The 25th percentile ACT score is 26, and the 75th percentile ACT score is 31.

Even though Texas A&M likely says they have no minimum ACT requirement, if you apply with a 26 or below, you’ll have a harder time getting in, unless you have something else impressive in your application.
