Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a requirement for Pell grants (FAFSA). You must be enrolled in undergraduate studies and not already hold a professional or bachelor’s degree.

A Pell grant may also be available to you if you are enrolled in a post-baccalaureate teaching certificate program.

The amount is determined by your financial need, the cost of attending school, whether you are a full-time or part-time student, and whether you intend to stay in school for the entire academic year or less.

It is only possible to get a Pell Grant for up to 12 semesters or its equivalent if you first applied for one on or after July 1, 2008; this is known as Federal Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility (LEU).

For undergraduates who have a severe financial need, there are Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG).

FSEOGs will be distributed first to Pell Grant recipients with the lowest EFCs. FSEOGs are not repaid, much like Pell Grants are.

Morgan State University Tuition Scholarship

Gifts include scholarships. They don’t have to be compensated. There are many of them, provided by educational institutions, businesses, people, nonprofit organizations, associations, communities, and religious institutions.

Even though the scholarship application and search process takes time but its worth it. Several scholarships may be awarded to a student as long as the totals do not go beyond their tuition costs.

Awards for institutional scholarships are restricted to new and continuing Morgan students and are determined by need and academic performance. Award sums can differ and are not assured.

Other MSU institutional prizes are not available to students who obtain full academic, institutional, or athletic scholarships.

Students will be obliged to choose just one award offer if numerous complete awards are being offered by other MSU offices, programs, and/or committees.

With the university’s online Academic Works application, students can also submit a scholarship or grant application.

The Special Help grant through Academic Works is not available to students who receive the Bozeman, Quinn, or Jenkins prizes; however, they may be eligible for other awards.

Morgan State University Tuition Loan

The William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program is one that the Financial Assistance loan office at Morgan State University participates in (usually referred to as the Direct Loan Program).

The University is not permitted to process any federal loans from private banks or other lending organizations since MSU is a direct lending institution.

The student will receive payment from the U.S. Department of Education through the institution.

The loans provided by Federal Direct include; Subsidized Federal Direct Loans, accruing Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans, Federal Direct PLUS (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students), and Federal Direct Graduate PLUS (For Graduate Students).

Morgan State University Tuition Work Study

A federal initiative at Morgan State University (MSU) called the Federal Work-Study Program (FWSP) helps students with their finances by giving them jobs.

The FWSP was created to give students on- and off-campus employment possibilities both during and in between attendance times. These positions must accommodate the employed student’s scheduling and other requirements (s).
