How to Apply DUT Online Application 2024

Things to note before applying online to DUT:

• You’ll need an email address to complete the application. Don’t have one? Get an email address first.
• South African applicants will need an ID number. Foreign applicants will need their passport numbers.
• You will need to have registered for the NBTs before applying online.
• You will need to pay an application fee.
• Need accommodation? Make sure you mark this on your application form.
• Remember to check faculty-specific requirements before applying.

Durban University of Technology Application Requirements 2024

The Durban University of Technology general admission requirements:

• Your admission to the Durban University of Technology depends on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.
• If you don’t meet these requirements, consider alternative qualifications or possibly, if you qualify, an extended program, enabling you to register for limited modules in your first year.
• Students who completed Grade 12 at the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) School of Tomorrow may no longer be accepted at the Durban University of Technology.
• Some Durban University of Technology qualifications have limited spaces available. Meeting the general and/or specific admission requirements for a qualification does not guarantee that they will offer you a space for the 2024 academic year.

Minimum Requirement For Admission For NCV Level 4 Applicant

For Higher Certificate:

• A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with at least 50% in English.

For Diploma:

A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with the following minimum requirements:

• At least 50% in three fundamental subjects including, English; and
• At least 60% in three compulsory vocational

For Bachelor’s Degree:

A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with the following minimum requirements:

1. At least 60% in three fundamental subjects, including English; and
2. At least 70% in four compulsory vocational subjects, chosen from the National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4

Over and above the minimum entrance requirements, each department also sets specific entrance requirements with which applicants need to comply.

1. International applicants are required to check the International Brochure for detailed information on the admission process.
2. Apply online at the Central Applications Office (CAO). (A prospective student who wishes to study at DUT must apply via the CAO by visiting their website at www.cao.ac.za)
