Mangosuthu University of Technology Closing Date 2024

The MUT has scheduled its closing date, and below is a detail of it:

Undergraduate qualifications (This would include higher certificates, diplomas, & degrees, advanced certificates, advanced diplomas, BTech & postgraduate certificates):

  • New and currently returning students (for qualifications with semester modules): 9–26 June 2024
  • New students for under-subscribed qualifications in CAES & CSET: 9 June–05 August 2024
  • Students awaiting results for semester 1 and additions: 9 June–05 August 2024

Application Requirements

Below is the important thing you should have when applying for MUT:

  • You’ll need an email address to complete the application.
  • Have you calculated your APS? You’ll need to do this before applying.
  • The application process is through the Central Applications Office(CAO) which processes all first-time applications to institutions in KZN.
  • The CAO will only accept one application form per applicant to a specific institution for a particular year.
  • Make sure your latest academic results are scanned and ready to upload.

How to Apply to MUT Using the Online Application

Just in case you still wish to apply at MUT, but you don’t know how to go about it, you don’t need to worry, below is the MUT application process:

  • Go to https://www.mut.ac.za/applications/
  • Evidence of payment of your registration fee(compulsory for SA and International applicants)
    Certified copy of your ID document(ID document compulsory for SA citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants
  • Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
  • Remember, you will need a unique email address when applying either online or in a hard copy.

MUT School Fee Information 

To get admitted into the Mangosuthu University of Technology, candidates must pay a compulsory and non-refundable fee of R100. The application payment for international students is R700. Only manual applications are subject to this fee.

The online application is free. What this means is that South African or international students who apply online at www.mut.ac.za or cao.ac.za will not be charged a fee.
