No R350 Grant Appeals Will Be Accepted After 31 May

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has recently announced that no appeal applications will be accepted after the closing date, which is 31 May 2024.

Applicants who were declined for the R350 grant between February 2024 and April 2024 are encouraged to appeal by visiting the SASSA website to be reconsidered.

How To Lodge An Appeal For The R350 Grant?

  1. Go to the SRD Grant website
  2. Scroll down to ‘Application for reconsideration’
  3. Click on the yellow bar
  4. Fill in the required fields

Once you have lodged your appeal, you are allowed to track your appeal on the SASSA website by following the steps below.

How To Track Appeal?

  1. Go to the SRD Grant website
  2. Scroll down to ‘Click here to apply online or check reconsideration status’
  3. Click on the yellow bar
  4. Fill in the required fields
  5. You will now be able to view your application status.

In order to qualify for the R350 grant, the applicant will need to be over the age of 18, unemployed, and not receiving any grant from the government.
