How to Apply for the Crown Scholarship
To be considered for the Crown Scholarship, you must complete the following steps before the November 15th deadline:
1. Start by applying to Illinois Tech via the Early Decision I (binding) or Early Action I (non-binding) application deadline.
2. Complete and apply for admission through the Common Application, ensuring you fulfill all the requirements specified by the College of Architecture.
3. Write a one-page essay that reflects your passion for studying architecture and explains why Illinois Tech is your ideal institution.
4. Prepare and submit 4–20 pieces of creative work that express your interest in architecture.
This can include various mediums, but be sure to include at least one freehand drawing. Remember, you will need to provide the originals for a campus interview in mid-February.
