If you have graduated from high school or will soon graduate from high school and have not attended a college or university AFTER your high school graduation, you are an incoming freshman.

You are still regarded as an incoming freshman even if you have earned college credit while you are STILL in high school. As long as they haven’t gone to college or university after getting their diploma, GED and homeschool students are likewise regarded as a beginning freshmen.

Admission to UTRGV is guaranteed for high school graduates who place in the top 10 percent of their graduating class.

All UTRGV incoming freshmen applicants will have an individual admissions profile generated from all the information given, and admissions choices will be based on that profile and their high school achievements.
