Housing Options

For all students interested in living on campus, we provide a range of housing alternatives. Clicking on the names of the halls listed on the left-hand side of the page will take you to a description of each one.

Every dorm contains a common room, a vending machine, washers and dryers available for rent, and in most dorms, computer laboratories that are reserved for resident use. In Rawlings Hall, there is a dining facility for the university.

Baldwin Hall

The residence hall for freshmen women is called Baldwin Hall.

The Blount Towers

Blount Towers is a dormitory hall for freshmen women.

Cummings House

Cummings Hall is a residence for female first-year students.

Harper-Tubman House

Clara I. Adams College’s coed honors residence hall is called Harper-Tubman House.

Marble Hall Gardens Apartment Complex (Leased Housing)

A few blocks from the main campus, there is a coed upperclassman apartment-style residential hall called Marble Hall Gardens Apartment Complex.

The O’Connell Hall

The traditional male residence hall O’Connell Hall is open to all classes.

The Rawlings Hall

Rawlings Hall is a residence hall for all classes.

Thurgood Marshall Hall

The coed hall, which also has a new dining area, will house all new, returning, and transfer students.

In HH Midtown

The co-ed, upperclassmen-only HH Midtown residential hall is situated on Biddle Street and offers a shuttle service to and from campus.

Residence Hall Staff

Who “runs the show” in the hallways? To whom can residents turn for assistance? Resident directors, Assistant Resident Directors, Resident Assistants, and Desk Attendants make up the live-in residential workforce.

They assist the University’s aims and those of the Office of Residential Life & Housing. When you have issues or questions, you should first get in touch with these people.

Community Standards

It can be lucrative and enjoyable to live in the halls, but it can also be difficult.

As a set of essential rules for communal life, the Residence Hall Community Standards Handbook was created in collaboration with the Office of Judicial Affairs and Inter-Residence Council.

Special Housing Needs

In accordance with ADA guidelines, the Office of Residential Life & Housing is committed to providing any specific accommodations requested by students.

If you are a student who needs a reasonable accommodation for housing due to a recognized impairment, please call 443-885-1719 to register with the Office of Student Disability Support Services (SDSS).

The SDSS will examine your request after consulting with Health Services, the Counseling Center, and other pertinent college agencies.

This review’s objective is to recommend the on-campus housing option that most closely fits your needs.

The Office of Residential Life & Housing at Morgan State University will next get a recommendation from SDSS on your request for a particular accommodation.

You are not guaranteed accommodation even after registering with SDSS; instead, you must adhere to all requirements laid forth by the Office of Residential Life & Housing.

Applications must be submitted by June 1st in order to be given priority consideration for the autumn semester. Space will determine the assignments for the spring semester.

Veterans of Military Service

Serving the housing requirements of our student veterans is a priority for the Office of Residence Life & Housing. We recognize that veterans might want a setting that is more established than is typical of first-year housing.
