Blinn College is a public junior college with campuses in Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg, and Sealy. Brenham is Blinn’s main campus, which includes dorms and flats.

Blinn Admissions Application Procedures
1. Apply to the Blinn College District
All new and returning students who have not completed an entire Fall or Spring semester at Blinn must apply to the College District.
2. Submit Required Document
Blinn is an open-enrollment university. After submitting the relevant admissions documents, most students will be admitted and able to register for classes.

a. Transcripts or GED results: Students must submit an authentic copy of their high school transcript or GED scores, as well as transcripts from any previous college or university attended.
Emailed copies of high school transcripts provided directly from the high school to admissions@blinn.edu will be accepted.
Blinn College does not accept emailed high school or college transcripts from students or parents.
Please send transcripts to this address regardless of the campus you will attend school at.
b. Vaccination for Bacterial Meningitis: All students under the age of 22 enrolled in a higher education institution must provide proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination.
c. Evidence of Residency: During the application process, they may ask students to provide proof of residency.

3. Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarship
To be considered for financial aid and/or scholarships, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
4. Complete Testing Requirements
Unless they supplied a qualifying test score or proof of exemption, students must complete the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment.
Blinn does not need the American College Test (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). We can find here a complete list of exclusions and placements.
5. Secure Housing
On-campus housing is only available at the Blinn College District’s Brenham Campus. For further information and to apply for on-campus housing, click on Blinn Admissions.

6. Attend Advising
In order to select the best courses for their academic goals, prospective students should consult with an adviser.
Students should have a current Blinn application, test results or exemptions, and high school or college transcripts or GED scores on file before meeting with an academic adviser. To make an appointment, go to Academic Advising.
NOTE: Before registering for classes, students who are not college ready (have passed no part of the TSI Assessment), on academic probation, or on scholastic suspension must speak with an adviser.
7. Attend Orientation
All first-time Blinn students must complete the online New Student Orientation, which may be found under the Personal Information page in their myBLINN account.
They urge new students who arrive in the Fall semester to attend New Student Registration, where they can get advising and register for classes at the same time.
8. In Progress Pre-Requisite Courses at Another Institution
Students must provide a PDF copy of their unofficial transcript showing the pre-requisite listed as in progress at their present institution to the Division Operations Coordinator for the division in which they offered the course for consideration and approval to register for the class.
9. Register for Classes
You can register for classes at any Blinn College District site or online once you have completed your admissions file and cleared any registration holds.

11. Get your Student ID

12. Purchase a Parking Permit
All students who park a vehicle on the Blinn campuses in Brenham, Bryan, or Schulenburg must register their vehicle and gain a parking permit.

13. Order Textbooks
Students can order textbooks through their myBLINN account or by visiting the bookshops in Brenham and Bryan.
What GPA Do You Need to Get Into Blinn?
Students who have been academically suspended but have extenuating circumstances that prohibit them from earning the necessary 2.0 GPA may apply for reinstatement.
The scholastic appeals committee must receive this appeal in writing.
