Now, If you don’t mind getting your postgraduate degree at UAL, then, there is a scholarship opportunity for you. The UAL International Postgraduate Scholarship is for international students with a degree in arts and design who will like to obtain a postgraduate degree.
So, if you have ever made plans to live and study in London as a postgraduate student, there is a way now. However, be sure that your major is in line with the courses that are eligible for the UAL International Postgraduate Scholarship. University of the Arts London (UAL)
Majorly, this is a school that specializes in arts, design, fashion, and the performing arts. As a matter of fact, the University of the Arts London is a confederation of six art colleges in London, namely; Chelsea College of Arts, the London College of Fashion, Camberwell College of Arts, London College of Communications, Wimbledon College of Arts, and Central Saint Martins. But in 2003, it became a university.
Additionally, these colleges became a university just in 2003, it has gone far to top ranks in both national and international levels. For instance, in 2009 and 2023 , the university ranked 2 worldwide for art and design. More so, for student satisfaction, this university scored 3.94 out of 5 for students satisfaction and 56.5 over 100 for graduate prospects. Again in 2023, the university ranked 21 over 67 institutes of arts.
UAL International Postgraduate Scholarship
Basically, the UAL International Postgraduate Scholarship covers even your accommodation fee. Meaning, if you stay at one of UAL’s halls of residence, the scholarship will cover your accommodation. Also, it may contribute towards living costs. Moreover, the UAL is releasing up to 4 UAL International Postgraduate Scholarship at the moment.
Eligibility
Importantly, there are some criteria guiding the eligibility of this scholarship, this involves:
- Firstly, you must hold an offer to study a full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s 6 Colleges starting in 2023/2024
- Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes, or MSc qualification
- You are not eligible to apply if you already hold a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or one at an equivalent level) from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad
- More so, you must be resident in one of the low-income economy countries detailed in the list of qualifying countries
- Evidence such as a copy of your immigration documents, ID card, or formal proof of your address must be included as part of your application
OR
- You are an asylum seeker in the UK at the point at which you make your scholarship application.
- More so, your annual household income must be 50,000 pounds or less (or the equivalent exchange value in a qualifying country’s currency) at the point of application
- You must provide a personal statements part of your scholarship application which will respond to the following questions (maximum of 350 words per question):
- First, describe how receiving a postgraduate scholarship would make a difference to you
- Secondly, tell us how you intend to use the qualification you will gain to support your future plans
- Thirdly, describe how you will address challenges in your home country
- Finally, tell us how you would uphold the values of social justice and environmental stewardship

Scholarship Value
Interestingly, the UAL International Postgraduate Scholarship has a value of 50,000 pounds.
How to Apply
Firstly, the instant you get your offer to study at UAL, the ‘my funding’ page on your applicant portal will be updated to include application forms.
Also, if you submit an application, you will get an email after the scholarship closing date has passed to let you know if you are successful.

Scholarship payment
Mainly, the UAL selection panel awards the scholarships with the evidence you provided in your application.
Therefore, if you successfully qualify for more than one UAL scholarship, you must choose just one. Hence, you are permitted to only one scholarship.
