How to Reset VUT Blackboard Login Password?
Here is how to reset Vutela blackboard password:
- Step 1: Open your Google Chrome or preferred browser
- Step 2: Type in https://resetmypassword.vut.ac.za on the browser and press enter
- Step 3: Type in your username (student number) and click next
- Step 4: Answer the 3 questions you are presented with as you answered them during password
registration process, and click next. - Step 5: If you answered your questions correctly, you will be presented with a screen to enter your
NEW password. - Step 6: Type new password
- Step 7: Re-type new password
- Step 8: Click next and your password should be reset.
Where Can I Find My Course Assignments?
Your instructors can post assignments in various areas of Blackboard. Some instructors will designate a Content Area called Assignments.
Other instructors may house assignments in Course Materials. Therefore, it is critical to navigate the Course Menu and become acquainted with where your instructors have posted materials.
Why Do My Assignments Disappear from View?
Instructors can set date/time restrictions that limit your access to a Blackboard assignment. If your instructor sets a date/time restriction, you will no longer see that assignment in Blackboard after that date/time has passed.
It is up to your instructor’s discretion whether to open any assignments.

How to Download and Install the Blackboard App
- Go to Play Store or App store.
- Search for a blackboard.
- Download and install the app on your mobile device.
