The Department of Basic Education stated in a statement on Sunday, September 25, 2024, that the 2024 application will provide job chances to 255 100 selected individuals in the nine provinces.
The opportunities are distributed as follows among provinces:

- North West: 16 000
- Mpumalanga: 22 000
- Limpopo: 35 000
- KwaZulu-Natal: 58 500
- Gauteng: 40 000
- Free State: 15 500
- Eastern Cape: 40 100
