SASSA has now taken to their social media to provide applicants with an update when it comes to R350 grant appeals. Appeals for the grant close at the end of May.
SASSA has reassured those who have appealed that should their appeal be successful, they will receive payments.These payments will be made for the month of when you initially applied.
On social media, SASSA gave the following reminder:
Successful appeals will be paid for applicable months.
The agency went on to further say that those applicants whose appeals were approved would be notified of this by SMS.
You will then be told what to do next.
Until you receive the SMS here is how to track your appeal:
- Go to the SRD Grant website
- Scroll down to ‘Click here to apply online or check reconsideration status’
- Click on the yellow bar
- Fill in the required fields
- You will now be able to view your information

Appeals for the grant closed on 31 May while applications closed on 30 April.
SASSA has however said that payments will continue so if you have a payment outstanding, you will receive it at some point.
If you’ve already lodged an appeal, you will then not need to send another or contact the SASSA office.
