They recently announced that those who have applied for the SRD grant but were not approved in the months of February and April 2024, have until 31 May 2024 to lodge an appeal on their website. They have emphasized that no appeals will be accepted after this date.

When lodging an appeal, applicants are requested to provide reasons why they think the SASSA decision was incorrect or provide motivation when lodging their complaints.

SASSA will relay the outcome of the appeal through an SMS to applicants.

How To Track Your Appeal

  1. Go to the SRD Grant website
  2. Scroll down to ‘Application for reconsideration’
  3. Click on the yellow bar
  4. Fill in the required fields

Those who have been approved for the R350 SRD grant but have not yet received payment will still get paid. Applicants are encouraged to contact SASSA offices if they have not yet received their social grant payments.
