School of Basic Midwifery Amachara Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission into the Basic Midwifery programme are required to meet certain academic requirements.
They must have an O’level credit in five core subjects: English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
These can be obtained from NECO, WASSCE, or NABTEB examinations, taken in not more than two sittings. Only candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be invited for an interview.
How to Obtain the Application Form
Application forms can be obtained from the Nursing Services Department Abia State, located at the Ministry of Health Umuahia, New Secretariat.
Applicants will be required to pay the sum of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only which is a non-refundable fee.
However, this payment can be made in two designated banks: United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Zenith Bank.
Application Timeline
The sale of application forms commences on Monday, 10th July 2024, and will be concluded on Friday, 4th August 2024.
Candidates are advised to utilise this window wisely and submit their applications within the specified period.
The closing date for the return of all completed application forms to the Nursing Services Department is also Friday, 4th August 2024.
Applicants must adhere strictly to this deadline as late submissions may not be considered.
Examination Details
The entrance examination for the Basic Midwifery programme has been scheduled to be held on Saturday, 12th August 2024.
Candidates are expected to be at the examination venue, the School of Nursing Umuaha, by 8:00 am.
Can I Go to the School of Nursing Without WAEC?
The currently approved entry requirement is five (5) O’level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
This result must not be more than two (2) sittings from any of the following: West African Examination Council (WAEC), National Examination Council (NECO)
