How to Apply for the North Carolina State University

Applications and all supporting documents must be received on or before the Program Deadline or the Graduate School priority deadline, whichever is earlier.

International applicants typically have earlier deadlines to allow time to process necessary visa documentation. Applicants applying for financial aid usually have earlier deadlines, too.

3. Prepare your Application Materials

All applications must include the following:

3. Three recommendations, submitted via the online application

4. Proof of English Proficiency (non-US citizen applicants only)

5. Personal Statement

In addition, each graduate program has its requirements, such as exam scores, essays, and/or resumes, etc.

All of the above-listed requirements can/should be uploaded to the online application. Also, your test scores should be sent electronically to the Graduate School from the Educational Testing Service.

How Much is NC State University Tuition Fees for International Students?

Tuition receipts are used toward the total cost of instruction and other academic expenses. The annual undergraduate rate is $6,535 for North Carolina residents and $29,407 for nonresidents.

The annual graduate rate is $9,459 for North Carolina residents and $29,433 for nonresidents. Certain graduate professional programs carry a tuition increment or “premium” in addition to the regular graduate tuition.
