For a student, there are many benefits of a hostel. They include:

  • Closer to Campus: the hostel, in most cases, is within the school environment. This feature allows the student to study conveniently, leaving and returning at comfortable times. Also, it makes it easier for students to meet up with their lectures and other activities punctually. 
  • Cheaper Cost: hostels are very affordable compared to renting an apartment. Also, it reduces the cost of transport. 
  • Socialization: Families come true in hostels with powerful bonds among students. It provides a friendly atmosphere where students can associate, help and love one another.

Disadvantages of a Hostel 

  • No privacy: A hostel doesn’t give you a chance to yourself. There is no privacy, and almost everything goes public. 
  • Sharing Wrongly: Students will share the same bathroom and other private facilities. Sometimes, this is not healthy, and there is the risk of pollution. 
  • Risk of Theft: Keep in mind that your properties are not safe. Moreover, there will be numerous challenges if you are with the wrong people as roommates.
