South Africa’s Universities Rank Worldwide
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) has shown an upward trajectory in the Times Higher Education (THE) impact Rankings by moving 22 places higher from position 434 in the world in the previous year’s edition.
This is a sign that South Africa is moving in the right direction as it continues to receive international recognition for its academic quality and quantity.
Recently, 26 universities in the country have been ranked in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.
It is said the University of Cape Town is the top-ranked South African university, whilst being followed by the University of Witwatersrand and Stellenbosch University.
