Appeal For A Second Chance of SASSA At R350 Grant

Did you know that if SASSA rejected you when you applied to benefit from the R350 grant, you can appeal and possibly be funded? However, if you don’t appeal, you won’t get a second chance due to a lack of funds.

SASSA encourages those who have applied for the Special Relief of Distress R350 grant but were rejected to lodge on appeal so that you can have a second chance. However, if you don’t appeal, you won’t get a second chance due to a lack of funds.

How To Send Your Appeal

  1. Go to the SRD Grant website
  2. Scroll down to ‘Application for reconsideration’
  3. Click on the yellow bar
  4. Fill in the required fields

Anyone who doesn’t lodge an appeal will NOT be reconsidered as we don’t have funds to reconsider every declined case.

SASSA is currently in the process of matching applicants’ data against bank information. Once that is done, feedback on appeals will be provided soon thereafter.

Even though the grant was increased for another three months, the amount will stay the same. However, many calls have come for Government to increase it.

The grant is now set to come to an end in April 2024

All applicants who applied, successfully verified and are approved will receive their payments as payment is still currently in progress. Those who haven’t yet been paid yet, will receive payment and still get their coming months payments again if they still qualify.
