Sassa Reconsideration Application (When Sassa Will Process)

The Sassa has reconsidered the applications that were previously denied. So, before filing an appeal, Sassa should investigate the reason for the rejection and reconsider the application. Read through to get more information on Sassa reconsideration.

Sassa Reconsideration Application Process

According to Sassa, if they deny your application, you must reapply for reconsideration every month. You can apply for reconsideration at https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/reconsideration.

How to Apply for Grant Reconsideration Through the Website

• You can apply online by going to https://srd.sassa.gov.za.
• Select “Click here for reconsideration” from the tab containing an application for reconsideration.
• You will then be required to provide your ID and phone number.
• Following that, you must follow the instructions to complete the consideration process.

If you need assistance from a Sassa official or have questions, you can contact them at 0800 60 10 11. You must select option 3 after dialing.

Following that, you must make a conversation with the Sassa consultant to request help in reconsidering your application, and then proceed as directed.

Requirement for Reconsideration Application

Section 18(1) of the Social Assistance Act 13 of 2004 requires the following information to be included on the application for Sassa reconsideration form:

SECTION A: In this, the applicant provides information about herself.

• Personal Information: Applicant Identity document. Name, Surname, Age, Gender.
• Communication Method: You also have to mention the way of communication with Sassa that is done through- Cell, Email, Post, Landline, and SMS.
• Applicant Residential Address
• Applicant postal address

SECTION B: In this section, the applicant must provide information about previous grant applications that were rejected by Sassa.

• Sassa Office
• The date on which you applied for the grant
• The date on which they reject your grant
• Grant type- You also have to mention the type of grant for which you have applied previously. That is OA, WV, DG, FGC, CDG, CSG, or GIA.

SECTION C: In this section, you must explain why you are requesting reconsideration and why you believe Sassa’s decision is unjust. If space is limited, you can also attach the sheet to the application form.

SECTION E: The candidate’s signature with the current date is required here. Following that, you must attach the aforementioned documents to the application form.

• Receipt issued by SASSA when you apply for the grant.

• Power of Attorney (If someone else is appointed on the applicant’s behalf)
