Welcome to the UJ structure for late application inquiries. Please be aware that in January 2024, NO walk-ins will be accepted for late inquiries.
The University of Johannesburg wants to let you know that there are people or businesses asking a fee to help with late inquiries while posing as employees or partners of the university.
Late inquiries are free, and we strongly advise you not to fall for this type of scam.

Students must submit an online application through the inquiry system, and they will receive an official notification of the status of their application via email and an unofficial notification via SMS.
Fast and Easy Application Instructions Guide
- You must provide your UJ student number, Grade 12 test number, or ID number before clicking the “Submit” button.
- Check your personal information, then click “confirm.”
- Confirmation of a new or prior application:
- Whether you haven’t applied to UJ, the system will let you know if you meet the requirements for any openings.
- If you have previously applied at UJ for the 2021 Academic year the system will indicate your application status for the qualification(s) you have applied for. If you have a positive application status and you are happy with your qualification choice, click on registration information to get all the details regarding registrations (please note that only applicants with an admitted status will be allowed to continue with registration). If you are not happy with your current qualification click on the change qualification button.
- Qualifications which you qualify for and still have space available will be displayed per Faculty/College. Please select your preferred Faculty/College.
- The Faculty/College will offer a list of the qualifications that are available. Choose the qualification that appeals to you.
- If your choice is satisfactory, press “submit an inquiry.” Click on Make a Different Selection to start the process over if you’re not satisfied with your choice.
- Enter your mobile number and then click “Submit.”
- This is UJ’s method of making a final decision after the release of the matric results on January 20. They will then notify applicants of the outcome of their application status within 5 working days, formally through email and informally via SMS.
